OP: Is it just me or are you folks needlessly verbose? I have to say, as a newb I’m finding it such a turn off to have to slog through so much faux intellectual posturing to get to the point. Is this how this place rolls?

No. I was trying to point out that you started this thread trying to build your ego by labeling **others **‘faux’ intellectuals, then later admitting you probably didn’t have the horsepower to participate here up to speed.

I was trying to do no such a thing. My ego does not require building or validation and I don’t need the identification of faux intellectuals to accomplish that if I need feel it was necessary. If this was all about my ego, would I admit I’m not up to speed? No, I would not.
