Is it “mod bashing” if you think most mods are nice, but a couple are jerks?
I don’t think so. The mods are a mixed bag, like any other subset of the board, and the Community of Man. I’m not going to like the same people anyone else does. So why pretend they are all the same? What good does it do to pretend?
Since all mods, regardless of your personal opinions of them, volunteer their time here, and go above and beyond their share of making this place what it is, they deserve a bit of respect. You can criticize them in the Pit of course.
As for what constitutes “mod-bashing”, I’d guess bashing a mod would satisfy the conditions. If you want to criticize without bringing on a hail of overzealous mod-defenders, try to keep your criticisms specific and coherent. I can’t guarantee that it’d keep your nose clean, but it’d be better than what some people do.
No need to ask the question three times.
You don’t have to like the mods. You don’t even have to pretend to like them. They don’t give a shit, and rightly so.
They’re doing a thankless, frustrating job, making sure the board doesn’t degenerate into a goddamn free-for-all.
And if any of them were jerks, they wouldn’t be mods.

Well, it’s “mod bashing” if you have only a handful of posts, and a significant number of them are mod bashing posts. It’s one thing to be an active member of the community, and incidentally have disagreements with mods. It’s quite another thing to have mod bashing or board harassment as your primary purpose on the board.
Oh, and it’s not a good idea to use an anonymizing web service, either, because that gets you banned almost automatically.
