Is it OK to touch the DS touchscreen with your finger?

Well is it?

Or is it too much pressure on the screen. I just got one and Nanostray requires three hands if I want to use the stylus. Since I don’t have three hands, the finger it is.

So is it OK?

I’m pretty sure it’s okay, though you may want to get one of those clear screen protectors so you don’t get the actual screen really smudged up. Also, the wriststrap that came with your DS has a little hard plastic peice on the end of it, and another one that slides up and down it. That’s to put around your thumb so you don’t have to worry about smudges.

Happy gaming!

I sometimes use my fingers. I don’t know if it’s okay or not, but I haven’t had any problems. I don’t see how pressure would have anything to do with it- wouldn’t it be less of a problem than with the stylus because of how the pressure is distributed over the larger surface area over your finger? Kind of like this.

Yeah, it’s just a problem of getting oily smeary fingerprints all over the screen. Some games, like Castlevania, actually require quite a bit of pressure.

Eh, I got a really nice screen cleaning cloth with a DS starter kit so I’m not worrying about smudges too much.
