Is it too early to say Romney has lost?

I agree. Many Democrats are generally decent folks. Republicans are evil selfish lying scum. That’s the basic difference.

Nah, the grand majority are just ignorant and dumb and glad to stay that way. The ones in charge are evil selfish lying scum.

the blimp knows.

That’ll learn them thar atheists.

We have a perfectly good Pit for posts like this.

Romney ought to be worried about that CBS poll of undecided voters since they may be the ones who decide the election. While national security is never going to be as important as the economy, I suspect that voters who are still undecided will place a significant weight on the former. Some of them may not be sure who they back on the economy and may use national security as a tie-breaker. Obama won the CBS poll 53-23 , bigger than Romney’s margin on that same poll in the first debate and he won on the issue of terrorism and national security by 64-36. If the undecideds break 50-50 Obama probably wins and with poll numbers like that it’s hard to see Romney doing much better than 50-50.

Log Cabin Republicans give a qualified endorsement to Mitt with, ‘be glad it’s not the Santorum/Bachmann ticket’.

Now we know the sound of one fabulous hand clapping.

Fapping, perhaps. I don’t credit the LCR with enough capacity for introspection to re-enact a Zen koan…

Take some heart! Reuters predicts Obama landslide.

Unemployment in Ohio has dropped to 5.7%. Mitt is meat.

voMitt OnMe has under two weeks to make his surge, and I don’t see anything he can do to turn it around–no more debates, no more conventions, no more running mates for him to pull out of his hat. He’s just doomed to spend the next 12 days or so, repeating the drivel that’s gotten him a narrow election loss to date.

BTW, what you think of “voMitt OnMe”? Have I finally found something more childish than “Obammer,” “Oblamer,” “0bama,” etc.? I’ve been reaching for my inner child these past few weeks, the best I could come up with is “Governor Momjeans,” but I think “voMitt OnMe” has a certain three-year-old appeal, no?

He’s made of meat? I can tell, because of the sound his meat makes when he’s flapping it.

It has the feel that you are trying too hard at something you shouldn’t be doing at all.

Thinking* meat! You’re asking me to believe in thinking meat!
*for a given value of “thinking”

I would like to see the trifecta of VA, FL, and OH, since that will wrap things up relatively early and let me gawk at the FReeper Stages Of Grief (assuming they have any besides “anger”).

I think the classic “Mittens” can’t be beat.

All of Mitt Romney’s Fancy Lady Policies in One Handy Flowchart

That’s awesome.

That’s wishful thinking, especially since Romney holds a double digit lead on the issue of “better able to handle the economy”. I said this a few days/weeks back and I’ll say it again. At this point, I don’t think people are undecided between Obama and Romney, but rather Romney and not voting. Obama’s been president for 3.5 years-- there’s nothing he could say a week and a half before the election that would be groundbreaking/earth shattering that could make someone vote for him who already wasn’t going to vote for him. Since the debates were most people’s “first look” at Romney, he simply needed to come off as presidential and at least look like a viable alternative to Obama, which he accomplished.
