He’s white and almost Christian. Did I leave anything out?
He’s also not Obama. You forgot that part.
He’s got wonderful, presidential hair. And that jawline? Central Casting wet dreams over a jawline that square and manly.
He tells the lies half the country wants to hear.
The “almost” part is enough to mean he’s going to hell for a large number of Christians. And he’s running against a Christian. So I think that’s at best a wash, and at worst a count against him.
I’m not entirely sure that being White is helpful anymore, either. There are probably as many counter-racists as there are racists, if not more.
What Romney has going for him is that he is not the incumbant, he’s Republican: the party that people think is Christian, he has a lot of money and experience handling it, and he’s willing to pretend to be conservative to win the election.
Not his Mormonism and race.
Apparently there are over a million morons who think voting for a Mormon is just like casting one’s vote for Evil Incarnate.
You know what would be awesome? If Mitt won the popular vote but lost the electoral.
And an hour later, tells lies that the other half wants to hear.
he’s for prosperity. Etch A Sketchs for all.
It’s not too early; it’s just not going to happen.
Nate Silver has Romney at 25.4%, so BETTER THAN A 1 IN 4 CHANCE!!!
He’s not a president, but he plays one on TV.
Today’s NPR home page is repeating two different editorial cartoons that show Romney edging ahead of Obama. I’m not sure where this is coming from. Nate Silver has Obama making slow but steady gains, every day, in all areas: probable electoral college votes, the probability of winning the election, and even in the popular vote where Obama is still over 50% (although there is still under a 2 point spread). This has been going on since the second debate (and follows a steep drop in Obama’s polling after the first debate).
With a week to go and a major natural disaster playing out, I suppose anything can happen. Silver says that there is going to be less polling going on over the next few days due to the hurricane.
This is getting interesting.
