Apparently in 1988 Cecil thought it was “goofy” that a man could suffer penile fracture. He classified such men as “Meatballs”. My husband recently had just such a traumatic experience and he said there is no person in the world that he hates enough to wish that on them. The surgeon who specializes in this urology surgery doesn’t consider it to be “Goofy” and in fact says it is a more common occurrence than we would imagine. How Cecil could belittle someone who has suffered a severe traumatic injury to any part of their body, let alone a part that is so sensitive and vital to most men’s emotional, physical and mental health, is amazing to me. Perhaps that part of his anatomy doesn’t mean much to him, but he shouldn’t downgrade those that have suffered this analmoly. I would suggest he read a little more on the many different ways it can happen, and not hold himself on so high a platform (pedestal). Beware, it could happen to you! Unless you just don’t get involved enough in enjoying sex to have any concerns??? In that case, I would feel sorry for your partner. Criticism of anyone’s physical injuries is inappropriate by someone who is so widely read.
