Is it wrong for me to break this guy's legs?

A very pit-worthy bastard is selling drugs to my teenage sister. When I see him, I plan on suggesting to him that never again having any contact with her is in the best interests of his continued health. I know my sister is not blameless in this situation, but this prick is older than her, and I believe he holds most of the blame.

My question is: Is it morally wrong for me to break his legs if he does not comply with my request? Is it better to break the bones themselves, or just apply the narrow end of a baseball bat to his kneecaps? Any suggestions on a particular brand of baseball bat and/or power tools that would do the best job?

I don’t think it would be illegal, because I’m sure he would swing first, If you catch my meaning.

No, I’m not bitter. Why?

Moral issues aside, if you’re that irritated at the guy, pick up your local police tip line and drop a dime on him.

I think it’s something you need to take up with your sister. It’s wrong to blame the guy she’s seeking out for whatever drugs it is she’s buying.

And really, most teenagers try pot and stuff, so unless he’s hooking her up with methamphetamine or crack, I don’t see the big deal.

Also, you said she’s a teenager, but there’s a pretty big difference between 13 and 17. She might want you to stay out of her business.

IMO, calling the crimeline is not cool at all. Those people find out you did it and they might be the ones breaking your legs.

I agree with that, but if he didn’t mention to his sister that he’d do something like this, I don’t see how they could link him as the whistleblower. Dealers come in contact with LOTS of people.

I can agree with this too. But in CynicalGabe’s defense, with myself being the older brother of two sisters, I certainly can understand his rage! Not that my sisters can’t handle themselves, but they can no doubt be naive about such things too. We don’t know what she’s getting into.

Good luck with your situation CG, just know though, that breaking his knees will not do any good while you’re in jail. These things really suck. Definitley find out what she’s using though. 'Cuz if it is weed, and she’s like 17… it’s no thing, IMO.

I don’t find anything immoral with what you desire to do. But getting the police involved is a better idea as anonymously as possible.

  1. He could use a gun or a knife on you. Or win the physical confrontation. With or without his friends.

  2. You might get in trouble with the law too, especially if you do break his legs.

Unless there’s a lot more to the situation than you’ve said (like the dealer’s her boyfriend or something) going after him is going to accomplish fuck all in the long run. There’s plenty of places to buy drugs, and you haven’t said she’s being forced to do so.

It all comes down to a couple of things:

  1. How old? 13? Take Care of Things ASAP 17-19? A stern talking to from you to her is probably all that’s warranted if we’re talking about reefer.

  2. The type of drugs involved is a huge factor. If it’s pot, see above, heck, probably the same for mushrooms too, IMO. But if you’re talking meth, coke, crack, e, k or heroin, do whatever you gotta do to make this stop.

Regardless, whatever your plans are, think carefully through whatever your plan is before you carry it out. If you’re thinking violence, plan the location/terrain to be favorable to you. If it’s tipping of the cops, be very careful about keeping it quiet. Regardless, be smart and have an exit strategy and contingency planning in place for whatever you do.

Good Luck

It would be wrong and illegal to break his legs. And what would it accomplish? Unless you’re living in Mayberry, he aint the only drug dealer in town.

Talk to your sister.

Yup, plus if he chooses to break the guy’s legs, the dealer probably has associates who’d happily give out some payback. Not a wise move.

Assault is illegal, even when applied to real scum. Maybe you’re just venting steam, Cynical Gabe, but what you’re suggesting is still against the law. Don’t do this again.

People don’t sell drugs, drugs sell themselves. As long as your sister wants to do drugs, she will find someone who has them.

I think I’ll just lock this off.
