Even without Harry Potter and the gang, perhaps even without Hogwarts, the hidden Magical world she’s created could be the basis for a lot of very interesting stories. Has she said anything one way or the other?
I seem to remeber reading that she planned a short story where Harry is grown up. Although I dont have the proof.
I don’t remember anything about a short story, but I do know that she planned an end for the books so she wouldn’t spend the rest of her life writing Harry Potter books. I think it’s possible she could produce another couple of the little books she produced between Books 3 & 4, but nothing like a story. I think it would be pretty sad if she kept writing them.
My recollection is that she stated firmly that there would be no more stories featuring Harry, and probably no further fiction, at least for quite a while; but that she was considering putting together a sort of encyclopedia or glossography, to share some of the many, many details that she’d put in her notebooks about the wizarding world but never found a place for in any of the novels.
But I can’t recall where I read that, so take that for what it’s worth.

But her official site is incredibly difficult to navigate, so I can’t be bothered to look for it.
