Is Jim Cantore standing in front of a man humping a fish?

On tonights (1/21) Weather Channel broadcast, they’ve got Jim Cantore reporting from Chicago. He’s standing in front of what appears to be a statue of a shirtless man in a black hood affectionately holding a man sized fish.

What the heck is that? Where exactly are they?

If I ever caught a man-sized fish, I know I’d want to mount it.

Jim is hanging out near the Shedd Aquarium and the statue is this charming thing.

Ah. I should have known. With your info, I was able to find a bigger pic: http://www.forevervain.com/albums/chicago-jan04/aay.sized.jpg

That’s quite a… unique statue.

Fantastic!

That was a Sick bit of philanthropy if I ever saw one!

My daughter, my brother, my father and I went to Chicago in March of '03 to visit my dad’s uncle, who was turning 80.

We went to the Shedd aquarium and I took a picture of my brother and this statue. He’s humping the guy’s leg while the guy humps the fish. It’s not the classiest of pictures, but then my brother’s not the classiest of gentlemen, either.

Anyway, the point is, I knew exactly what the thread title was referring to, though I had no idea who Jim Cantore was.

That was pretty funny.

To make matters more interesting, is that the statue was far behind Cantore, it was dark and snowing. The lighting and distance made me think that the man in the statue was shirtless, with black pants and a black bondage type hood on.

It was a pretty amusing sight.
