Accurate description or not, once a user name has been attached to someone with a posting history – even when that user has moved on – it’s generally too confusing to everyone else if someone else assumes the mantle, so sorry, no.
We’re willing to change your name if you desire something more descriptive; however, you’re well advised to give it some thought. Names have power.
Of course, if you get stuck, the Dopers will help you, but be careful, that’s how someone got “Chicken of Bristol.”

Max Power, he’s the man who’s name you’d love to touch!
But you mustn’t touch!
His name sounds good in your ear, but when you say it, you mustn’t fear!
'Cause his name can be said by anyone!

Well, someone had to do it.
I searched, and found no user with the name of “Chicken of Bristol”. Or were you making a funny?

Why not an homage, like “Another Moody Bastard,” or “Moody Bastard Also” (abbreviation MBA), or “Moody Deux” – or be location-specific, like “Moody Bastard of Mississippi?”
Or do like the west coast gangbangers – be Lil’ Moody Bastard and elevate the first to O.G. status.
M. Bastard in the house!

I think “Moodier Bastard” has a certain ring to it.
See, now I want to be known as The Moodiest Bastard on the SDMB. Hmm. Maybe as a signature.
The Poster Formerly Known As Slythe became tired of the name. In a burst of either rash optimism or what-the-hell angst, he ran a poll among Dopers to determine his new name. Chicken of Bristol punched in a very strong contender but was narrowly edged out by the name Czarcasm.
Awed by his gutsiness, TPTB made almost-Chicken-of-Bristol a mod of IMHO, appropriately enough. *
Mo’ D. Bastard. Bastard Mo’ D.
Just to claim other obvious ones:
Moo D./Mu D. Bastard.
Mew D. Bastard for a cat.
Emu D. Bastard.
I’ll stop now.
Until this moment, I have always held Czarcasm in high esteem, not because we interact, or any single post, but because of his name. I think that it is the cleverest name on this entire board, and here I have been giving him the credit for it. Well, no more! Czarcasm will have to earn my respect and patronage now.
Hey – how about Moody Blue Bastard?
There actually is a user named Chicken of Bristol. Look here.
Yeah, I should have come up with something original, just like you.
What is the meaning of Chicken of Bristol? Where did it come from?
It’s from Monty Python And The Holy Grail.
Hey, if I would have had all the Dopers helping me pick a name I am sure they would have come up with something better too
