I press the home button thing at the bottom and it doesn’t immediately return to the home screen listing all my books.
Sometimes i’ll press and hold it down and 10 seconds later it will return to the home screen. I’ve tried “double clicking”, sometimes that works. Am I supposed to be able to press it once and have it return to the home screen? Is there just a normal long delay and after I press it once, i’m getting impatient and pressing it again is cancelling out my first click? Is my Kindle defective?
Mine too. there’s a tiny pause, but it’s the blink of an eye, not waiting-so-long-you-start-pushing-more-buttons. I would saythere’s a chance yours is defective.
Have you rebooted it lately? Every now and then my Touch can hang, then I hold down the on/off switch until it reboots (shows the Kindle logo). However, since the recent software update, that hasn’t happened. Have you had your wifi turned off contunuously for the past month by any chance?
Christ. Wi-Fi hasnt been turned off, no. I just bought it Saturday. Out of all the one’s on the shelf, what are the odds i’d get the defective one? :rolleyes:
I have the receipt, but did not save the box. I wonder if Best Buy will make it a hassle to exchange it?
