It seems I can’t “Search By User Name” for myself. When I try, it just responds with “Please specify either some search words or a username to search by.”
I assume it’s throwing out two-letter words, like my user name.
Is there a way to override this?
AFAIK, the only way would be to get a longer username. You can request a username change by e-mailing one of the administrators, e.g. TubaDiva.
Yeah, your name probably is too short.
Drop me an email and we’ll see about changing it.

I heard there are creams and pumps you can use to help with that problem, rather than consulting a Mod/Administrator.

Thanks. I’m glad I was able to get the responses without resorting to a provocative subject like “What can I do if vd isn’t enough?”
I’ll have to think about the name change. I’ve been pondering a net-wide change anyway.

So TubaDiva , does that mean it’s impossible to search on any 2-letter string?
I don’t know if your name is too short, but it does sound like the old name for S.T.D.'s. Maybe you should add a middle initial to avoid crude remarks if you ever post in the pit.

Probably. A system bug, looks like, but I see no quick fix of any sort on our horizon so I guess we’ll have to learn how to live with it.

I wonder if MC has the same problem. I’ll check.
