Trying to fix an older model is asking for trouble in my household. We bought a new one a good 15 years ago for a couple hundred bucks. It’s starting to act a bit finnicky at times now, and I won’t screw around with it once it finally pukes. And I prefer a no-frills machine. Less crap to break down on me.
Our dryer, on the other hand…it’s at least 30 years old and just keeps going. Fewer parts, I guess. We’re keeping it until it breathes its last.
