Is navy blue out of style?

Famous last words. Any time I go into a store thinking something along those lines, the item I’m in search of becomes harder to find than the Grail.

As for navy, I’ve given it up because of the shoe-related difficulties! No great hardship; it always makes me feel a bit dowdy anyway.

Yeah, navy and navy just seems so matchy-matchy and dated. If you don’t like metallics (I think silver looks good with navy), I’d go with a taupe shoe. If you like white, the white/navy combo can look classic and crisp for summer.

If you must wear hose, make sure it’s leg colored. Colored hose looks extremely dated (or, alternately, extremely cutting edge but you must have the panache to pull it off).

Navy blue is out of style. Unless you’re in the navy.

I agree: I was spotting navy blue shoes when I was window shopping two weeks ago, but only in the clearance sections that still had shoes from last season left. Most of the other shoes I was seeing were tans, pastels, and metallics.

Oddly enough, I haven’t seen much in the way of white shoes lately, beyond the basic simple white pump.

I agree with tremorviolet - go with taupe. That’ll look good with navy, and cn be used with other colors as well. Personally, I HATE metallics.
