Is Nov 6th going to be a big disaster? (Voter id related)

With all the crap that’s been going on with the legality of voter id laws in various states, I get this ominis Al Gore - Bush feeling.

One of these states is going to fuck up and it’s going to be one of these deals where they have to redo the entire election process (in a given state) because X amount of people were told they couldn’t vote when it turns out they really could or some other screw up like that where the case has to be handed to the SCOTUS to clean the whole mess up.

Meanwhile, the rest of America is on the edge of their seats waiting to hear who our next president will be.

It’s always possible and voter ID isn’t the only way things can go wrong. Florida had a problem in 2000 with punch cards not recording votes right, butterfly ballots shifting as many as 15,000 votes from Gore to Buchanan, and then there was simply not having proper recount procedures in place.

Let’s hope a national election never rides on just a couple of votes, because then all that needs to happen is for the press to identify ONE dead guy who voted and the whole process is in shambles.
