I don’t follow her that much, but I did think she came off as very sanctimonious and unprofessional in her interview with James Frey. She felt so betrayed and it was “difficult” to talk to him. Who cares? If you want to grill him and give him a hard time, do it. Don’t tell me about your hurt little feelings.
Do you really know anyone who is universally liked by their co-workers and peers? Honestly, I think we are setting the bar far too high here. She is routinely ranked as one of the world’s top philanthropists. She has given away an estimated $303 million. Does she have a huge ego? Of course. Is she rude or bitchy on occasion? Probably. But, there have been people that are far richer and far more powerful that do not dedicate nearly as much of their time and money towards improving that lives of so many others. She is committed to using her position and resources to make the world a better place. Oprah is far from perfect, but I think she understands that.
Hmmm…perhaps, but usually when a black and white party is thrown, all guests wear black and white. The men escorting the legendary women were instructed on what to wear too, and they may or may not be legends themselves. (leaving aside the idea that eveningwear for men is black and white anyway!)
For what it’s worth, the legends were:
