Is Pimm's available in the US

I am a US expatriate living in the UK. I’m going home for a visit this fall and would like to introduce my folks to Pimm’s. I’d like to bring a few bottles over, but was wondering if it is available in the US first? Do the airlines have a preference as to if the alcohol is put in carry on or checked luggage? I just don’t think that a glass bottle would make it thru a trip in checked luggage.

Thanks

Pimm’s is (or was) available in the US.

Yes, but depends on where you’re going in the US. The big city? No problem. East Podunk? You might have a problem.

Airlines don’t care if you put it in your carry-on or checked baggage, although you’re probably right to be wary of checking it.

Their only real concern is whether you’re a) carrying too much (i.e. violating import duty kinds of stuff) or b) old enough to drink it. I honestly wouldn’t worry about B anyway, as a good friend of mine came home from Germany when we were 20 with enough liquor to sink a damn battleship and weren’t questioned at all about it.

Just to be safe, I’d bring a bottle (if I were you).

Pimm’s is definitely available in the US. However, that doesn’t mean that the salesman at your local liquor store will have the first clue what it is. As far as I can tell, every bottle of Pimm’s my store has ever sold has been to British expats.
