My uncle is dying of a fairly rare sort of brain tumor. His sister, my aunt, has asked me to look up this Ralph Moss guy and see what I could find on him. Also, evidently he charges an arm and a leg for his stuff online, and she wanted me to see if I could find it cheaper somewhere. (I’m a periodicals librarian.) I’m trying to decide if I want to hunt his articles down, though. Quackwatch has some on him that isn’t flattering. There’s lots of websites that sing his praises, but they mostly use the exact same words, and there’s a lot of woo-woo cancer cure websites out there preying on (or written by) desperate and/or deluded people. I was hoping you guys could give me more information to work with on this guy.
You don’t need to know anything other than “stay away”. IMH Medical O, he’s got nothing to offer cancer sufferers that would benefit them.
Sorry about your uncle.
Although I’m reluctant to add anything to Qad’s pithy, and well-taken, response, I wanted to emphasize that the guy is not even an MD. Yes, he does have his PhD . . . in the classics! I kid you not.
Thanks. That’s the conclusion I’d arrived at, it’s just good to hear other people say the same thing. Honestly, my aunt is an experienced nurse and ought to have known that at first whiff, but I guess it’s easy to start reaching for anything and everything. My uncle’s oncologist evidently told my aunt (my uncle’s wife, not the nurse) that he’d be surprised if he made his next appointment in September.
Wasn’t he one of the guys who hawked laetrile?
