Is Rotten Tomatoes the only good movie review website?

Are there any other such websites?

I’ve heard IMDB and Metacritic are pretty popular. I always turn to Rotten Tomatoes, though.

The trick is to find a reviewer that consistently shares your own taste in movies. Rotten Tomatoes, Metacritic and others that aggregate reviews don’t really do it for me.

I like Pajiba. The reviews are long, and sometimes spoilery (it warns before BIG ones, plus you can just read the first paragraph before it goes into the plot). The reviews tend to be more --negative and nit-picky than I am, but the critiques tend to be insightful.

I find Reel Views the most reliable single critic. But generally I use Metacritic; anything scoring over 65 or so is probably worth watching.

Thanks- Metacritic is just the kind of site I was looking for- better organized and less bandwidth-intensive than Rotten Tomatoes.

It’s not really comprehensive, but I do enjoy the Filthy Critic.

Another vote for Metacritic. I regularly turn to it (for films at least)

I am a fan of efilmcritic, although I admit that one of my childhood friends is a critic on it.

I use the Yahoo Movies, Critic and User aggregate ratings. Then you look at what sort of movie it is and decide which you’d probably be more like, an average American or a critic as regards that movie.

Rotten Tomatoes is pretty good if you judge the reviews individually, but even to me (a guy) the site seems very oriented toward what men (and more specifically young men) would like vs other sensibilities.
