Is Sam Adams Cherry Wheat the best alkie beverage ever?

Mind you, not on a hot day or to get drunk on, but damn, that stuff is so thick and rich and creamy, it drinks like a meal.

And it hasn’t gotten disgusting over time, like Leinie’s. Am I wrong?

Considering that it is both a wheat beer and a fruit flavored beer, and apparently thick and creamy to boot, I’d answer this question with a “No”. A big No.

Nah. That award goes to Victory’s HopDevil IPA. Cherry Wheat isn’t bad, but there are better wheats, and better fruit beers. Cherry Wheat is just acceptable.

no.

Definitely not the best ever (gotta go to Germany for that, IMO), but it’s pretty darn yummy.

In general, Sam Adams makes good beer, but not great beer. Cherry Wheat is no exception.

Yes. Vodka tonic.

Uff Da

I think Cherry Wheat is a good beer for those who aren’t into beer.

My favorite summer beer is Stoudt’s American Pale Ale, Carib from
Trinidad is a close second for a really hot day

In Winter I like hot cocoa with some pepermint schnapps or for winter beer, Guiness.

The best alkie beverage ever is Hefe Weizen beer. Some brands you can get in America: Paulaner, Erdinger, and Franziskaner.

Pour most of it in the glass, then roll the bottle between your hands to get the yeast on the bottom of the bottle stirred up and pour it into the rest of your beer. Heaven in a glass

Clearly, you’ve never had Linganore Winery’s Raspberry Wine.

A browse at Beer Awards indicates that, while Boston Beer Company won lots of gold awards for various Samuel Adams beers, the Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat didn’t even achieve bronze standard.

I preferred Sam Adams’ Cranberry Lambic, but they stopped making it. mutter

Pyramid Apricot is quite tasty. You can really taste the fruit, but it isn’t overwhelming.

I had a few shots of New Glarus Raspberry Tart at the GABF two years ago. It’s outstanding.

Lindeman’s Kriek is the best fruit beer I’ve had. It isn’t cheap though.

I don’t like any beers in particular.

Give me a nice strong Margarita.

Most beer raters/reviewers say that Westvleteren 12 (from the St. Sixtus Abbey in Belgium) is the best beer in the world, although it’s very difficult to find (especially in PA!) and fairly pricey for a beer!

My personal favorite is Maredsous 8, also from Belgium (which is, without a doubt, the home of the world’s greatest beers!)

Fruit-flavored beers are confused. They haven’t discovered who they are yet…am I beer? Am I fruity? Am I for girls? Do I like guys? Who will love me? What’s my purpose in life?

This confusion leads to an ultimate lack of satisfaction on all ends.

If I wanted a beer, I’d drink one.

If I wanted something fruity, I’d drink something fruity.

If I wanted a fruity-flavored beer, I’d never admit it.

While I’ve never had that particular fruit beer, I have been roundly disappointed with every fruit beer I’ve had that’s made in North America.

The only fruit beer I like is lambic (real lambic from Belgium), either cherry, currant, or peach.

Toronto’s microbrewery Amsterdam makes a very good tastinf raspberry beer. But I usually order Guinness for the reasons Audrey Levins mentions above. Fruit beer?
