I was just posed this question by an ad here on the SDMB and I’ll admit to being a little confused.
A good job at what? Does Sarah Palin even have a job? I’m pretty sure that whatever it is she’s getting her income from these days (book sales? speaking fees?) it’s not something that is usually subject to opinion polls.
What do you think, Dopers, is Sarah Palin doing a good job at…whatever it is she’s doing?
I think she’s doing a great job impersonating Tina Fey.
Well, she’s still got you interested, so she must be.
Her job is to energize the conservative base for whoever pays her. I don’t think you will find another conservative that can do this better than her.
She’s doing a terrific job of making money from her 15 minutes of fame.
She’s doing an excellent job of keeping her face and name in the news.
I think I’ve also heard that she’s positioning herself for a run for President, and while I’m not convinced she’s electable, I do think she may make it difficult for other Republican candidates to get enough traction to run.
And since Obama may have a hard time being re-elected because of the crappy economy, etc. , well, I’m not sure I’d count her out.
When people slow down and stare at a car wreck, that doesn’t indicate that the crasher is a good driver.
She was hired in January as a commentator for Fox News. I’m not responsible for her mid-year review.
She’s doing an incredible job of making the 20% or so of the population who don’t consider her a complete joke to continue believing she’s relevant and giving her money. I see her the same way i see Paris Hilton, someone with no discernible talents or skills who has managed to carve themselves a multi million dollar empire from their 15 minutes on image and branding alone. She’s doing a great job for Sarah Palin, as to the values and ideas she claims to support i can’t say, probably not though.
The Quitinator is a tea party favorite. She writes or has ghost written some kind of books. She does speaking for right wingers and makes a lot of money. The fact that she quit as governor to get rich does not bother her followers . They apparently have a low bar.

Yeah. She’s the Jason (“Gummi Bear”) Davis of politics.
Palin is rocking!!! I don’t like her politics at all but she brings in the crowds. And those crowds are giving money.
Palin’s job is to RAISE money. She isn’t out there to sell herself as a candidate for president. This is where people are getting all confused.
The fact is whatever you think of her politics, people seem to like her. She is very personable and draws crowds. That doesn’t mean you have to like her or that the message she sends is a good one.
But it DOES mean she is effective at what she is paid to do.
Let’s not refudiate the fact that she has a lot in common with William Shakespeare. 
They asked her if she uses a thesaurus. She said"I thought they were extinct."

She’s doing a great job terrifying me that she’ll run for president in 2012, so there’s that.
Sarah Palin’s job at this point is promoting the Sarah Palin brand. And she’s doing that well.

She’s fucking awesome if you like excessively religious warmongering politicians who and blaming Obama for all the troubles in the world since Eve ate the apple and Pandora opened that box.
I prefer more facts and less spin, from people who are capable of learning frm mistakes.
From anyone else, that could be taken as a witty play on words about the ubiqitousness of online materials driving out the market for a paper reference such as thesaurus or dictionary.
