There is, as I recall, debate over whether a “thank you” post in a GQ thread constitutes politeness or unnecessary strain on the hamsters … since the hamsters have recently gone on an all-crack diet, I guess this particular debate has gone quiescent. (Not returning at all to threads you’ve started is, though, universally regarded as a Bad Thing.)
Personally, I always thank people for responding when I start a GQ thread, but then I was brought up by Sunday School teachers.
I am prepared to extend the Right Hand of Fellowship to SmileyDeath. I was once but a humble newbie myself. (Actually, come to think of it, that’s an outright lie - I don’t do humble.) However, that rate of posting is kinda pushing it, kiddo.
Well, now at just over 26 posts per day as a post-rate, that’s around 3/4 what it was on day 1. He’s new, he’s learning, and he has a wit on him that’ll be gold if he survives the first few months.

SD, I know you were put under attack as having nothing important to say, so I know why you’re linking to substantive posts of yours. However, as I understand it, that practice is frowned upon, if you offer nothing but the link to the other post. I think that’s called cross-posting, or something like that.
I think cross posting is when you put the same thread/post in a number of forums, RexDart.
And yeah, SmileyDeath – a little more post text with the links, and you might get less criticism around here. Might.
