I love Spongebob and watch it with my 7 and 9 year old sons frequently. Even the 3 year old likes it.

More like pre-pubescent, I would think, absent any of those early-warning feelings that some people seem to have at very young ages: “Hmmm. She looks good in a bikini. Actually, I hope this discussion stays under wraps, because SpongeBob’s sexuality–homo or hetero or uni or a-, as the case may be–would probably scare the bejesus out of any network considering airing the show and would also probably lose 80% of its audience, which has no interest in or even understanding of sexuality and its many MAN-ifestations.

But I have been bemused by all the threads about which cartoon characters are gay, which are the MOST gay, who IS gay and who ISN’T gay…I just don’t GET it.
First of all, why is it a concern?
Second of all, these are CARTOON CHARACTERS…not REAL people. Of course, it doesn’t matter whether anyone who is a real person is gay or not either, but that is another issue. But…sheesh…these aren’t even REAL! So…
