Something like the episode of House the other day where the kid pees on the floor? I’m sure that’s fake. But what about movies/tv where they show some boy/man peeing on a fence or out in a field or something? Would they bother to get a whole fake-pee setup or do they just say “go take a leak, we’ll film it from back here”?
I would think so, if only for the inevitable fourteenth take.
What color was it? In a recent Family Guy DVD commentary it was related that FCC standards and practices dictates that you can show urination, but it must be clear. No yellow.
They had Adam pee on an electric fence on Mythbusters once, but they didn’t show anything below the waist. However, they have used fake pee on several occasions, and that’s yellow.
In the movie “Short Cuts,” Huey Lewis and a bunch of his pals are fishing at a lake. Huey whips out his schlong and takes a leak in the lake, then sees there’s a dead girl in the water underneath him.
Lewis says they had a tube running up his pants leg. and that it wasn’t really his urine. Remember, in the movies, you may have to re-shoot a scene several times. Huey MIGHT have had enough urine in him to shoot the scene once, but if they’d had to do several takes, he’d have run dry pretty quickly. Easier and safer to have an artificial supply in his pants!
It started out bright yellow, then changing to red (he was bleeding internally).
