There was some guy who had a great great schtick who’s name I don’t know but would like to.
He would start out talking to an imaginary friend named “Bunky” in a weepy voice with sad music in the background. Bunky was always having a horrible time. After listing a string of comic disasters he’s wind up with “Is that what’s botherin’ ya, Bunky?” One of my favorites was when he was talking about baseball and wound up with “And you’re team lost the playoffs and so now it’s the World Series and so ya hafta root for another team that ya HATED all season long? Is that what’s botherin’ ya, Bunky?”
Then suddenly a marching band would strike up and he’s be telling Bunky in a marvellously uplifting and booming voice about something wonderful he could do to make his life great again.
Who was that guy?
