is the Ad Council part of the New World Order?

I read a book a few years ago and it said that the Ad Council was a really bad thing, somehow related to the NWO or some kind of commie outfits like unesco, something like that. it seemed to make sense to me, how the military industrial complex, or whoever it is that is in control of the conspiracies had some connection with the Ad Council and pointed out that all of the AC’s productions were some anti-free-thought propaganda. does anyone know of further info on this theme?

I generally regard such things with skepticism. Deep, deep skepticism. I don’t have any evidence either way, just the observation that conspiracies are much less common than some people believe.

i try and look at all things skeptically…unless they sound neat! i am pretty undefined at how i view most conspiracies, but there are some cases where a conspiracy cause rings much more true than any other explanations. this one sounded that way to me, but i can’t even make a guess as to what it was. Was it the Ad Council was funded by the OSS? By Algier Hiss? The Thule Society? it was something which, if true, would be pregnant with meaning!

You’re for starting forest fires? And you’d like crime to take a bite out of you?

Visit their website if you so wish, see if that can help any in your question. And please, stop wasting minds, making Indians cry, and sinking ships.

I must say that the Ad Council was founded during World War II.

I guess that they could be considered “anti free-thought propaganda,” if you like to pollute, give war secrets away to the Nazis, start fires, drive unbuckled, drive drunk, and not give black people a chance to get an education.

Remember, these are all activities that most of the people that rant about a NWO do in their spare time!

“Anti-free thought”? You mean they support the religious orthodoxy of the Anglican Church? (“Freethought” was an atheist movement in England about 200 years ago.)

Check out the “Arrest” ad they have been running lately. A guy’s car gets pulled over by cops in the night. They search inside his car tearing out the seats to find what’s under them. They find it: outlawed publications. They arrest him for violating the laws that ban freedom of the press.

Think it can’t happen here? Is this the America we want to become? I commend the Ad Council for getting people to think about this.

If you automatically discount all conspiracy theories, you will be right more than 99% of the time. And that’s good enough for any mortal man.

The Ad Council has been accused by more reasonable critics of a slanted agenda. Their commercials emphasize individual responsibility (for such things as forest fires, charity, and driving safely), which is a good thing, but one that also encourages a reduction the role of legislation in these activities. That furthers the objectives of the conservative folk who fund and advise the AC, and it works against the objectives of the liberal/progressive/leftist/whatever folk. Add a dollop of hysteria and you have the New World Order – bon appetit!
