Dang, you’re trying to pull me back in!
Don’t worry, I think McRib season is over until November. It’s still on the app, but it’s showing as “currently unavailable” at all the locations near me.
As I mentioned last year, though, the AM/PM version is still available.
Quite right.
See also the folks who class action sued because Froot loops don’t contain fruit.
And because Subway “footlong” sandwiches weren’t exactly 12 inches in length.
I’ve only had the McRib once, when I tried one a few years ago to see what all the hype was about. It was disgusting.
I bet they don’t contain real froot either.
DItto! LOL
I thought it was “fatty”. The nutritional breakdown seems to indicate I was right.
- Calories: 520
- Total Fat: 28g (35% DV)
- Protein: 24g (48% DV)
- Carbohydrates: 46g (17% DV)
- Sodium: 890mg (39% DV
28 grams is pretty much the equivalent of 2 Snicker bars.
I’ve seen twice and bought once croissant hamburger buns. Aldi excels at abruptly ending these limited time favorites with enhanced heartbreak, seemingly in tagteam with Trader Joe. BOLO: they’re the same in appearance to the brioche, yellow tan and glossy.
Subway has been similarly accused of padding their tuna. Same thing, like what’s cheaper than institutional salad tuna in trucks/week quantities? Anyhow, it’s probably the only protein they have that is recognizable from nature.
No worse then boneless wings.
That was in the 1980s and the ingredient in question was sodium erythorbate and some idiot thought erythorbate came from the root word “earthworm.”
