Anyway, I can’t believe y’all don’t know that there is already a Doper Reading Group. It’s over at Fathom’s Humanities Forum. Right now we’re reading To the White Sea by James Dickey and a few (I think Nu Vo Da Da and I are the only ones who haven’t given up) are reading Ulysses. New nominations from all genres are happily accepted and encouraged.
Yes I am–Pennsylvania is the furthest south any of my ancesters come from. But I have no particular loyalty to New York City sports teams.

1917 was the last year the Sox wonthe World Series, which is the standard I’m using. In 1919 they lost/threw the Series to the Reds.
