For example, FORTUNE magazine, but not targeted to people who already have careers in business? It’s probably not a huge market though. LOL!
Occasionally something called young money appears as a suppliment to our student newspaper just like sports illustrated on campus, or in front of the business school. I assume it probibly is a real magazine as well. I don’t have any money so I never read it.
There’s one called MBA Jungle that’s targeted at (natch) MBA students. It’s a little lightweight, but has tips on job hunting and interviewing and “behind the scenes” looks at possible careers that younger people may be interested in. They also occasionally have case studies and articles, such as a fairly good business plan for the struggling record industry.
They only publish every other month though, but I think it’s a free magazine (at least it was when I was in school).
Business 2.0 and Fast Company are both livelier reads than Fortune. They’re not really targeted at pre-career people, but I think they have enough general interest for someone who is not currently a businessperson. Business 2.0 has more of a technology focus and Fast Company more of a management/ leadership guru focus.
Why not Business Week? It usually has articles of interest for just about anyone.
