Is there a decent pre-made chocolate pudding?

I like Kozy Shack brand but my store hasn’t had it since the pandemic began, I don’t know why. Their other products are there, just not this one.

So I tried Hershey’s, and found it thick, gloppy and tasteless. I tried Jello brand but it seemed to have an artificial undertone to the flavor. I tried Snack Pack, and it seemed better while I was eating it, but it left an unpleasant after-taste.

So, what’s a (lazy) chocolate pudding lover to eat?

Trader Joe’s has a good one.

Dang, you made me want to cook some up now, and I don’t have any solid chocolate around. Maybe some vanilla or butterscotch pudding instead…

Moving this to Cafe society

Thank you.

Did Snack Pack use to be better back when it came in little cans, or am I just remembering it through a haze of nostalgia?

Yeah, I’ll second this assuming it hasn’t been altered recently. I haven’t had it in years, but I remember it being appropriately rich, chocolatey and creamy.

ETA: Here’s a review from some random mook on the internet. Like his partner I consider his mild negatives to be positives.

To late to edit: Another more glowing review.

I’ve found that Snack Pack pudding is quite good.

GDit!

Sam’s Club sells Raymundo’s Caramel Flan. Our family looks forward to it. We used to serve it on special occasions. We’ll have those big family meals again someday. Whenever it’s finally safe.

Caramel flan is very sweet and rich. My wife and I split one between us.

Good and cheap, but may cause one to quickly burn-out on it. Dark Chocolate is (imo) far superior to their milk chocolate, and it goes especially well with strawberries.

Mousse superior to pudding. You should upgrade accordingly.

Thank you for the suggestions. I’ll try Trader Joe’s, it’s easy to get to for me. I’m also going to stop in Whole Foods to see what they have.

Dropo, your suggestions look intriguing but they don’t seem to be easily available in my area. I will keep my eyes open for them, however.
