Is there a limit to "All you can eat"?

The buffet that we make a tradition of going to (next week, in fact) is pretty good, and I’m a pretty picky eater. They have a lot of quality, non-starch foods: fish, crab legs (one year they had lobster tail, but that had to be ordered separately), turkey, chicken, roast beef, lamb, hamburgers, meatloaf, and steak (again, had to be preordered, and was of the cheapest meat, but suprisingly tasty).

If you do this once or twice a year, I don’t see the harm in eating until you pass out. My friend will do so on non-buffet food, on any occassion, even at work. He also has the metabolism of a jack rabbit, and will be hungry a couple of hours later.
