Is there a nickname for the name "Elliot"?

…Y’know, to pare it down a syllable or two?

Not that it’s exactly a very common name to begin with, but I can’t recall ever hearing a nickname for “Elliot.” And the only one I can even think of would be “Elly.” And, if I may say so, that ranks down there with “Ani” for “Anakin.”

So…any input on the subject, anyone?

Well, I have some experience in the matter, bt my last name is Dickerson, so they all take the form of:

E
E-Dick
The Big E

They all pretty much relate to the letter E.

I’ve known a few Elliots. Those with nicknames were El, Yot, T.S., and Hose. The third was a reference to a poet. The fourth was an anatomical reference.

“Spike”.

It keeps the kid from getting beaten up at school.

How 'bout “Leo”?

Eli seems like a fairly obvious choice.

My favorite Elliot in the whole world is just “El”
Hmmm. I miss him.

I’ve heard both “El” and “Lee”.

My middle name is Elliott and for many years my nickname among my family was Elly May. I feel you pain.

El is probably the most common for people who address you often every day, like family members.
