Is there a way to stop Facebook from recommending my friends to other people?

Having dealt with a stalker situation, I’d prefer to keep my friends list private (and I did set it to hidden.) There was a stalker who was contacting my Facebook friends, asking them questions about me. But I hear people say that Facebook is still giving friend suggestions to other people, ie “Here is a friend of Velocity’s, maybe you know him or her?”

How do I get Facebook to stop giving out those suggestions as well? I would prefer that nobody know who any of my FB friends are.

Hmm. I can’s say I’ve ever seen that. The “People You May Know” recommends people. It will list the number of Mutual Friends, and I can go look at who my mutuals are.

The only thing I can guess is that you show up as a friend on that other person’s profile. Can you check and see if that’s the case? Ask someone you know to check a mutual friend’s profile to see if you are listed as one of their friends.
