Is there an antonym for camouflage?

We all know the meaning of camouflage; giving something an outward appearance that makes it more difficult to see.

And there are times when we give something an outward appearance that makes it easier to see. Examples are painting fire trucks red, having highway workers wear bright yellow vests, or making the recorder boxes in aircraft neon orange.

Is there a word for this concept?

High-visibility is the term used for the clothing.

Maybe we should call it “egalfuomac”?

I would second @Kron’s use of the term high-visibility.

But I would like to point out that there is actually hi-vis camo.

I believe the word you’re looking for is “aposematism”. Some species have highly visible and memorable coloration to deter predation.

I can’t find the term, but there’s also increased visibility of flowers and fruits to attract animals. Any botantists remember the word?

I thought the OP was talking more about man made objects, but the closest term I can think of that you are looking for is “anthocyanin pigmentation”

Verb or noun?

A good antonym for the verb “to camouflage” is “to highlight”.

Conspicuity?

Ah, maybe so.

I think “anthocyanin pigmentation” is too specific for the botanical word I’m looking for. Not all anthocyanin pigmentation is for the purpose of advertising to animals.

Signalling is one antonym.
