I always really enjoyed The Late Show when it was on tv here in Holland. Unfortunately they took it off the air a while ago. Then I went to London to buy a Sky TV satellite dish and decoder, and was able to see David Letterman for a little while longer on Sky. But they took him off too. Since then I’ve been to a live taping three times, and I read the Late Show homepage daily of course. But most of all I would like to see (or hear) regular Late Shows again.
So now I turn to all you dear readers on this forum for help. Does any of you know a way to see the Late Show in Europe? I’ve read somewhere that the show will be broadcast on a number of radio shows in the US from now on. Can any of these stations be heard via the internet maybe?
When did they take Letterman off of Sky for you? I watched him on Sky here about 3 weeks ago, though I’m not sure exactly which channel or time (and the Sky website only lets me search for what’s on today, and he’s not on Sundays). If he’s been taken off within the past month, then I don’t know…
You can also try poking around the radio. Last week, they started broadcasting The Late Show on the radio, also at 11:35 PM. I don’t know anything about what stations they’re on, but during the CBS broadcast, they put up a little logo in the corner of my local station that was broadcasting it.
ITV2 in the UK. It’s shown at around 11.30pm, then repeated the next day at around 6:30pm.
They show it about a week late I think. Difficult to tell as they never say what the date is. You have to work it out from any topical jokes they crack.
Watch Harald Schmidt on German television. It’s exactly the same show except for the language - the host looks and acts exactly like Dave, the bandleader looks and asks just like Paul Shaffer, the format is the same, but the skyline behind his desk is somewhere other than NYC.
