On Cheap Trick’s website, someone was trying to post the VH1 list of the 100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock, and the BB censored the name Korn. None of the naive and innocent Cheap Trick fans there knows why and I don’t either. So is “Korn” a bad word? If so, what the heck does it mean?
well, Korn is a band… maybe they were avoiding some sort of legal thingy…?
No, other bands are talked about on the BB all of the time. They have a language censor though that won’t let you type in foul language.
Some of those censors are weird… its terrible in this one chat I go to to rp… so when we’re fighting we can’t type stuff like gets hit and we can’t type stuff like who’re or other stuff even if there is a space and it’s proper words
Mom, exactly how was it censored? “Korn” spell their name with a backwards “R” (like the Russian “ya”); maybe there was an error in attempting to reproduce this?

It could be that whoever does the script for the board has a secret Anti-korn/numetal/rapmetal hatred. I know a lot of times on other music boards, posters who have to type in the name of a band they can’t stand will censor it themselves, a la “Mtallica" or "Krn” It’s a bit silly, but they just can’t bring themselves to type out the acutal name, as though that will endorse their fanship of the hated band. It’s a long shot, but perhaps that happened. It was either done by the poster (who perhaps copied it from another source where the name was censored) or it’s a Cute (or should that be Cheap?) Mod Trick…
I think it’s just a conspiracy.
