Here is my comment, a slight joke. I don’t see anything wrong with it. " Now that gays are no longer in the closet there will be plenty of room for closet football watchers"

I smiled …the joke is 90 percent of the " I wont watch the nfl because of the protest " types will be back in a week or two sneaking peeks on smartphones websites and such like 2 gay but hiding it people back in the day

Not a good joke. It’s not offensive, but it doesn’t make very much sense. How do you know gays don’t watch football?

Not really responsive to your question, but the setup of the joke is invalid. There are lots of gays, perhaps especially young people, who are still in the closet. Just a smaller percentage than 30 years ago.

Still, I get the drift, and I’m not offended but I think the joke needs some work.

I wasn’t really meant to be all that funny just a passing response comment on facebook, a straight person told me it was offensive to gays.

I think it’s an excellent & clever joke!! Probably because my facebook feed and all of my deranged friends have been obsessed with all the nfl kneeling bs, so it hits right home. Not offensive to gay people either imo.
