Is this cover of Queen's "Radio Ga Ga" offensive?

Electric Six did a cover of Queen’s 1984 hit song, “Radio Ga Ga.”

I honestly can’t figure out whether the video, which features a Freddie Mercury impersonator dancing as a ghost in front of his own grave, is humorous or sickening (or both!).

One thing is for sure: the lead singer of Electric Six is no Freddie Mercury!

Here’s the cover.

And here is the obviously superior original.

What do you guys think? And what do you think Freddie would have thought?

I just had a seance to ask Freddie what he thought; no surprises. The video confirmed two things he’d always suspected: He (Freddie) is a way better singer than anyone else, and it’s his rightful destiny to have fabulous boys try to dress and act like him.

My own feeling is that it’s like a MAD Magazine/Weird Al takeoff, though slightly less tasteful. Doesn’t quite reach the bar of “offensive,” though.
