Anyway, this plant I’ve been growing all season. It happens to be in the same location where I threw some Echinacea seeds, but I have yet to see a stalk with a bloom on it.
Is this Echinacea, or have I been sowing a weed?
No.
Echinacea is a flowering plant with much thinner and sparcer leaves, and it produces quite beautiful flowers at this time of year. Big, long lasting pink flowers that attract butterflies and it has a huge cone shaped seed head in the center.

Yeah I don’t know what that is, but echinacea looks like purple daisies. Thin stalky, upright type plant.
I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout nothin’ but that looks more like a vegetable than any potential flowering plant.
