Is this normal? WARNING: SEXUAL QUESTION!!!

Let’s suppose (just suppose)that a man is, say, 44 years old, with no known health problems. Now let’s suppose that he’s used to having sex with his lovely wife 3 times a week. Now let’s say because he has to go on an extended business trip he doesn’t have any sex for 3 weeks. (Including masturbation, wet dreams, etc.). Now let’s suppose that before he boards his plane to home and a crabby and needy wife, this guy makes a stop at the airport restroom. Now let’s pretend that while urinating a medium sized blob of what looks like semen also comes out of this man. Would that be normal? Or should I tell my friend he should see a doctor?

Considering your ‘friends’ age tell him to go see a doc, could easily be a prostate problem.

This could also be caused by a host of other things, including constipation and hemmeroids. But it is better to be on the safe side. Good luck to your friend.

If you have been recently aroused (you were sitting next to Camille Paglia in the airport terminal) it’s perfectly normal for some amount of the fairly viscous, mostly clear ejaculate fluid to be passed out through the urethra during urination but unless you have just been abusing yourself in the VIP lounge prior to urinating it’s not normal for a significant portion of whitish sperm to come out.

If the latter is the case get a check up.

Considering it was a “blob”, I’d get to the doctor double quick. While I’m not all that keen on having my boys handled by a stranger, I’m even less enthused at the prospect that they may be gravely ill. Whitish fluid shouldn’t be too much of a concern, but a white blob needs professional consultation.

Okay, white blob was not the best description. Let’s be honest: after close examination (yes, you read correctly) the fluid mixed in with the urine was in fact cum. Not really a blob, more of a “spot”, just enough that my friend noticed it.Is it normal for a man who has not had sex for a while to have such a build up of sperm in him, that a little get’s out during urination?

Yeah, it may be normal. Then again, a good friend of mine just had a prostatectomy, and so I’m kind of on a heightened awareness now…probably nothing to get too concerned over, but better safe than sorry.

This is even more interesting than the op…???

I really do hope you are safe. A doctors appt is in order.

I think the best medical advice any of us can provide is this: Don’t waste time posting questions to this board, but instead go make an appointment with your doctor. While I know some of the TM have training in medicine, there’s no way they can make an accurate assessment of your problem via a message board.

It’s your health; don’t waste time.

Agreed, it could indicate a “stuck valve” which can signify more serious problems. Once you get in your 40s, it’s time to drop the youthful belief in your invulnerability and get these things checked out.

Nobody has mentioned retrograde ejaculation. This happened to a ‘friend’ of mine in his early twenties, but it never bothered ‘him’ again.

Retrograde ejaculation is where the semen goes into the bladder instead of out the penis. If your ‘friend’ had a wet dream and the semen went into his bladder, would he have noticed in the morning?

Anyway, once you have semen in your bladder the way for it to get out is the way it did. It is a good idea to check for infections/other nasty things, but I suspect you, er, your friend will find it to be retrograde ejaculation.

Now, get to a doctor.

Yep, reminds me of what one user once said: “That must be a mighty close friend you have…” Anyway, don’t take medical advice from the net, use it as a reference for further investigation, for your friend that is.
