Is this offensive (Key & Peele East/West Player Generator)?

I think the Key and Peele show is hysterically funny. I also thought the East/West All-Star game skit where they made fun of the names of football players was hysterical as well.

Comedy Central has a “Key and Peele East/West Player Creator” where you can upload a picture or use a webcam, and it’ll overlay your own face onto one of theirs from the skit, complete with do-rag, weird hair, etc…

I thought this was funny, so I set myself up with one, and linked it to my Facebook page without commentary, so it basically mentions the upcoming new season and had this crazy picture of me with long hair, a chinstrap beard and a bandana.

It was on Facebook for 2-3 days, and now it’s been removed. My wife thinks that someone found it offensive because you know, I’m not black, and someone probably thought I was somehow making fun of black people by using that app.

Is this reasonable? I didn’t think I was being offensive- there wasn’t anything overly racial about the thing, and clearly it doesn’t offend Key or Peele if it’s on the website.

Moved to IMHO from General Questions.

In context, it’s not offensive. To facebook, without context, it is.

The world’s not fair, and once again, as a white man, you got screwed.

We’re all very oppressed.
