The URL below is for an online tax preparation service called TaxACT. Does anyone know if it’s legit?
I’ve used the TaxAct software to do my taxes the past three years. If you’re concerned about the security of doing it online (though it should be just fine), download the software onto your computer and use it there.
I’ve used it for the past 2 years. The only problem I’ve had is a lot of spam in my inbox since this last time I used it.

I didn’t see any increase.
I use one of the free services that you link to through the IRS site - if they aren’t legit, nobody is.
I have seen a large increase and I have never even heard of the site.
