Is this something serious?

Today, in the midst of school, I acquired an annoying headache, with the pressure centered primarily in the frontal area, especially a bit behind the eyes (a la eye strain). It was later worsened, though, by the scent of blood in my nose and the feeling of equalization (i.e. scuba diving, plane riding) in my ears.

Upon returning home I took some Tylenol, and the pains abated. However, about 10 minutes they started to return, although in a milder form. It should be noted, though, that I can once again smell traces of the telling metallic scent in my nose (although I’ve yet to actually see any).

Is this something that would need urgent medical attention? Or…?

Much thanks.

This doesn’t sound like any normal sort of headache. Since I don’t know too much about medicine (I build my monsters out of spare car parts, not cadavers), I would probably see a doctor if such a thing happened to me.

Don’t know if it’s urgent in the morning, but you should give your doctor a call in the morning. Even one of the nurses at the front desk may know what to tell you.

 This is not intended to scare you, but one of my cousins died the day after having similar symptoms. Hope it’s nothing serious, but you should see a doc.

I’ll 3rd the doc opinion-BUT-in my case that would almost certainly be a sinus attack. If you haven’t seen a doctor yet try a dristan or similar med,and see if that makes the symptoms seem better. The only things that ever helped my usual yearly attacks that started as a young teen.I’ve outgrown them,I guess and settled for lifelong postnasal drip

need to know if you’ve had any of the following:

fever, chills, night sweats, nasal discharge (color?), post-nasal drip, cough (anything coming up? color?), sore throat, itchy/watery eyes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stiff neck, allergies (seasonal/drugs), any other medications you’re taking now?

Jeez, I sound like a pharmaceutical commercial.
