Armadillo, is that Eugene, OR? Because I live in Corvallis, and it seems that most fashion trends after 1969 have passed Eugene by. They still need to go through the polyester leisure suits, leggwarmers with stirrup pants, and grunge before they can get to hip-hop fashion.
I find baggy pants comfortable. But saggy pants are just lame.
Pants are getting tighter…the saggy trend it retreating.
I’m not so sure. I think saggy, baggy pants worn by young men and teenage males will be around forever. The reason is that guys seem to outgrow it in early adulthood, so by the time you reach parental-unit age, you think it looks downright ugly and stupid. What this means is the baggy-saggy look never loses its ability to offend one’s elders, which is what it’s all about. This is really a unique development. Many other fashion trends of the past, like jeans in the Fifties or long hair in the Sixties, originally were perceived as offensive and shocking, but eventually were accepted into the adult mainstream culture.
See, now you and your friends are the reason why *I cannot find a pair of jeans that fit to save my life!!!
I can’t go into any goddamn store and find a pair of 46 or 48 inch waist Levis, the size that actually fits me 'cause all you goddamn teenagers with skinny 27" waists are buying all my freaking pants.
Wear the damn pants they make for yo’ skinny asses, a’ight?
Or I might sit on you!
I just wanted to say that I think about this subject about once a month.
Always wondering why this unfortunate trend seems to have lasted forever.
I’ve always worn tight jeans - I still wear tight jeans, and I’m 36. Depriving half the population of the world of the sight of my pert denim-sheathed arse would just be selfish - besides, my wife likes 'em. I still have a pair of pants that I wore when I was 18 - half a lifetime ago - and they still fit.
Yeah but do you have to use a coathanger to do them up? That was the mark of a true pair of tight jeans in the 80’s.
Don’t need to. Nice to talk to someone in the same timezone, by the way.
OMG! You mean kids are walking around in pajamas in places OTHER than Ohio? I was thinking we had the most idiotic teenagers here, but now come to find out that they’re following a nationwide trend? I was at the mall and Border’s last weekend, and kept seeing girl after girl in pajamas and SLIPPERS.
Get dressed, ya dumbasses. We’re having a dress-up day for Halloween at my office today, and I nearly wore pajamas to go as a local high school kid.
Ava
Hey you did have to if they were tight enough!
and yes it is knowing someone else this side of the world is awake.
