Yeah, Trump knows he is dead. His wife, Miriam, was at this event and Trump very very much wants her to keep giving him that beautiful Adelson money. Hence all the flattery and boasting.
Yes, recall that it was when talking about Miriam that Trump said that the Medal of Freedom that he gave her was better than the awards the military gets, since those people are dead or maimed.
Huh, I thought Sheldon Adelson is an example of someone who’s done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more.

And this miscalculation on Trump’s part led to such outrageous public flattery of Miriam that he trashed military heroes over which honorary medal was the greatest. And I’m pretty sure that at the time it never even crossed his mind that he was insulting the military because his sole laser focus was ensuring access to her money. That’s his only priority.
He doesn’t really have the capacity to think beyond the immediate. Think about his “I hate Taylor Swift,” post. He stands to gain nothing from it. A mature person would ignore Swift’s endorsement of his opponent, but he has to respond right now without thinking through the consequences.
I highly doubt she actually wrote this book, so even if he was literate/focused enough to read it, he would have had to get a draft from the ghostwriter. Too much trouble!

Trump’s brand is based on convincing people that they share some of the same enemies as Trump. 34 percent is a lot of people to have disapproving you. The great majority were already voting for Trump, but maybe not all.
Will this work? I have no idea. A few days after November 5, we’ll find out.
In any event, Trump isn’t confused about Taylor Swift. He hates her.
A few weeks ago, he liked her, and claimed that she was endorsing him.
Right, so the 34% that don’t like her are going to vote the way they were going to vote. She has no effect. Nobody is saying "I wasn’t going to vote for Trump, but I really don’t like Taylor Swift so I think I’ll change my vote.
Meanwhile the 44% that do like her may not have planned to vote at all. Now they are apparently registering in significant numbers.
And Trump likes people who vote for him and hates people that don’t. And he’ll switch on a dime if they switch. This isn’t rocket science.
Which is about the same % of Americans who are die hard MAGAs.
Right, She is getting her fans to register and likely also vote.

Yes, I have previously noted that Trump railes against electric cars because of the oil and gas lobby, but nobody reminded him his newest best buddy created and sells electric cars. I guess someone finally did.
