The truly funny thing is that that the trump 2019 “tax cut” bill that was mostly tax redistribution onto the backs of the professional class. Joe Sixpack got $500 off, Joe Super-Fatcat saved millions, and Dr., Lawyer, & medium biz owner Joe got a tax increase.
The elimination of the SALT deduction was specifically designed to hurt the people of CA, NY, MA, NJ and a few other relatively high tax states whose people just happen coincidentally to always reliably vote D, not R for prez.
So trump is now blathering about offering a tax gift to the people of those high tax states. Wherein he has exactly zero chance of swinging them into the red column.

My bolding. I have no doubt that this is true. If you were to ask these people why they believe that it would be good to have a President who can be understood by only a fraction of the population, they would stare at you blankly. That would be something that has never occurred to them.
In addition to the ‘we love that we’re the only ones who understand him’ aspect of their fandom, of course, there’s ALSO the all-important ‘he’s going to hurt the people we want him to hurt’ aspect. In other words, if he weren’t providing them with the white-supremacism they crave, they would be less forgiving of his cognitive issues—less likely to find a way to turn them into a positive (namely, of ‘in-group membership’).

I guarantee you Trump has never heard of the incident you linked to, or has forgotten about it if he ever did, and if you asked him about it he would say “some people who like me very much were concerned about the election”.
I don’t know it is pretty coincidental that he used the same occupation. My guess is that somewhere in the MAGAsphere, there are people saying that Mark Aguirre got it right and AC repair guy he assaulted was depositing ballots in the way you described in your post. But that he either he got rid of the goods, before he was stopped or else cops who responded were part of the deep state covered it up.
