Open cupboards? He has no need to do that. He just tells his minions what he wants to eat or drink and they produce it.
I’ve said it before: This is a person who’s never picked up a towel from the bathroom floor after he’s dropped it (never put it back on the bar, of course); some flunky will tidy the bathroom when he’s done.
And this essential part of his upbringing and life has helped to warp him into what he is.
Yes. Not only has he never been in a grocery store, he’s probably never been in a kitchen. A “meal” is something you order off a menu or from your personal chef.
Nothing I’ve ever heard about his upbringing or anything else in his life suggests that he’s ever had to do that. You don’t just start out as screwed up as he is. His life has been some crazy, unhealthy petri dish to breed something demented and twisted from birth. It almost seems like some B. F. Skinner experiment taken too far and gone horribly wrong.
The scary thing is his upbringing is probably not that far off the norm for any child of a 100x millionaire and up. At least as to opulence, privilege, and general spoiling. I don’t know enough about trump’s parent’s cruelties or crazies to know what sort of “special” (mis-)treatment he got that other fatcat kids probably wouldn’t.
What seems strange to me is that Trump has absolutely zero class. Shit, he has negative class. People living under bridges have more class than he has.
The people that did the staging and set decoration for filming the movie The Devils Advocate wanted an apartment in NY for some scenes. The devils apartment. Trump offered his.
They saw it, laughed, said it was perfect and didn’t change a thing.
The man has absolutely no taste. Well, he does, but it’s freaking horrible. Gaudy ostentatious BS. He thinks it’s impressive
He’s a 4yo mind in a 70-something body. Through and through. A 4yo has crappy immature taste, where more is always better. And 5 colors are better than 4.
I keep returning to that photo of him at the White House, posing with that table full of fast food he served the winning football team. He just looked so damn proud of his “solution” to the problem of not having a staff due to the government shutdown.
I like the photo of him sitting at that tiny table. I think he was signing Executive Orders. Somebody trolled him for sure.

I saw that movie and read about this and it’s completely true. They used Trump’s actual apartment as the setting to represent tasteless, chintzy ostentation and Trump never even had a clue.
