So now he doesn’t want us paying for our military? Make up your mind, Doofus of the United States.
No no. Trump wants to pay for Canadas military.
His whole concept of amendments is pretty hazy. He declared the 14th amendment was unconstitutional and people elected him anyway.
I’m not saying you are wrong, but that escapes my memory. Do you have a cite?
It was during a Bill O’Reilly interview back in 2015.

Re last post, the Politico headline you link to supports him having some confusion in 2015, but I do not think the headline follows the article. Trump is saying that SCOTUS might interpret the 14th amendment to mean what he hopes it means, and Donald is possible correct there. Optimism yes, confusion no.
I recall a contemporary Pit thread where it was mentioned that Trump thought the Constitution was un-Constitutional. May have been about the 14th Amendment, but I don’t remember. (It may have been I who made the post, but I don’t remember.)
While I normally post here on with a strong NO to the thread title question, here something I came across that goes the other way.
How Musk Out-Maneuvered Trump: Musk got the only thing that he wanted. Does Trump realize it?
Previously I posted that I hope Trump is confused, because then he won’t do as much as POTUS. But now it looks like a confused/inattentive Trump means oligarchy, while a clever Trump will soon throw Musk and Ramaswamy under the bus. What poison should I prefer?
. .
Could there have been references to this?
Trump calls for the termination of the Constitution
He’s been inconsistent on whether he likes our Constitution. But I wouldn’t say he’s confused. It’s more that he dislikes how the Constitution puts limits on his power, but knows that if he said what he thinks there, with complete consistency, he would risk losing the next election.
P.S. Actually, the current U.S. constitution was not put in place following all the procedural amendment requirements laid out in the original constitution, the Articles of Confederation. So the Constitution is indeed unconstitutional. But no one cares about that, including Trump.
Well, not really. It’s clear that he has no idea what the Constitution says or means. He says he wants to protect 1st Amendment rights, by controlling the press, and silencing all his opponents. He has consistently been in direct opposition to the Constitution.
Flashback to 2016 when he told House Republicans that he would defend “Article 12” of the Constitution, which, for those of you just joining us, does not exist.
“What the hell was that? You get the little yips up here every once in a while. wonder why it was a strange sound. I’ve heard some very strange sounds.”
Trump still doubled down on the comments, posting later on Thursday that he had warned that Biden’s “Open Border’s Policy” would lead to more “Radical Islamic Terrorism, and other forms of violent crime” which would become “so bad.”
“We’re going to be changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America”
Hezbollah was responsible for 1/6
Q: Can you assure the world that as you try to get control of areas like Greenland or Panama you are not gonna use military or economic coercion?
TRUMP: No. It might be that you’ll have to do something.
“It’s called rain. It comes down from heaven. And they want to do no water comes out of the shower. It goes drip drip drip … you can have all the water you want. It makes no difference”
“Well, we need Greenland for national security purposes. People don’t even know if Denmark has any legal right to it. But if they do, they should give it up.”
“The windmills are driving the whales crazy. Obviously.”
“The heat is much better. It’s a much better heat. As the expression goes, you don’t itch.”
“[Jack Smith] executes people. He shouldn’t be allowed to execute people.”
“625 million acres. That’s like the whole ocean.”
" Mexico is really in trouble, a lot of trouble. Very dangerous place, and we’re going to be announcing at a future date pretty soon. We’re going to change because we do most of the work there and it’s ours. We’re going to be changing, sort of the opposite of Biden, where he’s closing everything up, essentially getting rid of $50 to $60 trillion worth of assets."
“We won the popular vote by millions and millions of people. Nobody even knows how many people.”
God, you are a nation of fucking idiots*. How did this ridiculous caricature of an impotent dictator make it this far?
I mean, I am Zimbabwean, and we had a fairly atrocious guy (Mugabe) in charge, and his succesor (Mnangagwa) is looking to be worse, but Zimbabwe is a backwards third world country where elections have been obviously rigged for all of the country’s history.
But really, USA. Really. You should be ashamed.

Half of us are.
And a disturbing percentage of the rest seem incapable of feeling shame.
To paraphrase Tom Stoppard: half the country is at peace with itself, and so is the other half.
What Trump likes or dislikes largely depends on which audience he’s playing to at the time, forever changing in accordance with what he believes they want.
