There is a derogatory term in chiShona, a Zimbabwean language, “mararapaipi” which means “sleeps in pipes”. It refers to homeless people who (allegedly) take shelter in drainage pipes and road construction sites.
I don’t expect Trump knows this any more than he knows what the MUCH more common term “half pipe” means to skaters.
Does anyone else wonder what Trump actually thinks the song YMCA is about? Maybe it’s because I grew up in the Bay Area but I always knew about the Y. I was reading Oliver Sacks’ autobiography and he was pretty informative about how the whole culture worked. Do Trump and his supporters really think it’s about a safe Christian place to stay in a new city?

Of course that’s what Trump thinks. All those whiney, weak Presidents before him weren’t the amazing negotiator he is. They let NATO push us around, and give us all those treaties that disadvantage us like the Paris Climate Accords. We agree to that “disastrous” Iran Nuclear Deal that he saved us from. Let’s not even go near NAFTA.
Trump rambles about wanting to take US natives who have been “arrested 30 times, 35 times, 41, 41 times in a couple of cases, 25 times, 18 times” for “pushing people into subways” and “punching old ladies in the face” and deport them to Venezuela to be imprisoned there “for a very small fee”.
Confused? Well, a few days ago he told California officials, including the mayor of LA, that they need to turn on the giant water valve up north. This means that this wasn’t just a bit of campaign nonsense, he actually believes that there is such a thing.
I doubt he even knows what a valve is at this point thrashing around in his web of dementia.

Well, you see, once they open the valve all the water will flow to California, because California is south of the Pacific Northwest on the map, and south means down. Haven’t you ever heard of gravity?

I’d love to see a reporter start a question to Trump with “Well, as you know, rivers always flow south…” and see if he took the bait.
Apparently, they really turned on that valve. I’m shocked since I thought it was fake!

I suspect Willis is re-interpreting history with his claims that YMCA was not written as a gay anthem, and even if he weren’t, it doesn’t change the reality that it is the premier gay anthem in the world.
You expect consistency from Donald J. Trump? He’s co-opted the tune for his own official dance.
Which means that attempting to claim in court that Willis has somehow suffered detriment from someone new associating the song with gay people is going to be kind of a tall order.
