We Dopers are enjoying this thread because it makes us feel good to prove (to ourselves) that Trump is weakening.
But to his disciples, none of these examples matter, because the meaning is clear, even if the grammar is convoluted.
These confused statements by Trump are like the famous quotes ftom Yoggi Berra.
“Nobody goes there any more—it’s too crowded”.
“You should always go to people’s funerals–otherwise, they won’t come to yours.”
“Baseball is 90 per cent mental–the other half is physical.”
The meaning is clear. The delivery is confused.
Which is harmless for a baseball player. For the president…not so much.
But pointing out the confused delivery won’t dissuade people from voting for Trump.His message is clear, and they like what they are hearing.
This is absolutely true. On a RWNJ message board I witnessed an exchange where someone was criticizing Trump for getting paid to promote a Bible. The True Believers insisted that Trump was not making any money off the God Bless America Bible.

Despite saying “paid license” right there, the True Believers insisted that this doesn’t mean Trump got paid. It’s beyond bizarre how willingly they employ their distortion fields.
They probably twist it as, “He’s making money off his likeness, not the Bibles!” That there’d be no money to pay for his likeness if they weren’t selling the bibles, and that licensing his likeness was predicated on the notion that this would increase sales of said Bibles, is probably too abstract for them. They’re only Trumpers, after all, the common clay of the New West.

I think what he may not be saying is that this may well be the hope of Republicans opposing this. They’d especially like a terrorist attack soon please, so they can blame Biden.
I suspect there’s some confusion amongst the Rs on which sorts of terrorists FISA deals with.
They’re trying to dismantle the intel, enforcement, and judicial folks who are keeping the lid on homegrown RW Fascist terrorism. So as to give themselves a free hand.

I think Donnie is hinting that the Deep State has sent people (all men, of course) to these various offices to give them their marching orders for getting Donald Trump. Either that or it’s another admission of how Donnie is a Russian puppet and therefore thinks everyone has a handler behind the scenes. Probably six of one, half a dozen of the other.
Having said that, we know that Trump lured E. Jean Carroll into a change room by saying he would also try on women’s clothing with her. He then proceeded to rape her. So by a conservative’s definition, he is indeed a trans person because that’s what they do.
It would also not surprise me if Trump at some point had found himself powerfully attracted to a woman with big hands and an Adam’s apple and when he reached up her skirt he got a big old handful of three-piece-set instead of the lady parts he was hoping for. That would have been really confusing for Trump.
Or maybe - just maybe - his dyslogia is getting and his mouth-parts can’t make the sounds his brain is trying to express, so he stumbles over the name and gender of the prosecutor and keeps repeating “they put a man in” because he can’t think his way from Point A to Point B.
